This past weekend I spent the weekend in Texas with my wonderful family! We went to the A&M v. Army game and the Aggies were victorious! I think I brought good luck because we are not doing so hot this year! But we will come around as usual! We also celebrated my brother's 23rd birthday in College Station...it was a lot of fun! It's hard to believe that he'll be turning 23 on Wednesday! My baby brother! I also got to see sweet diesel dog and get lots of sweet kisses! I was able to see my parents new lot where they are building their new house. It's just so beautiful and I couldn't be happier for them! I was also able to see my good friend Carolyn's new little house as well....so cute and she deserves every bit of happiness! The only thing that could've made it better would to have been able to spend some time with my wonderful Nicole but unfortunately our schedules weren't allowing it! I miss her so much! We are getting together in December and no one is stopping us!! It was a quick trip but a fun one! Not such a good flying weekend because of the storms on the east coast and American Airlines crappy planes! I was stuck in the Philadelphia airport coming to Dallas for 4 hours and then almost 5 hours in DFW coming back to Philly! That was a beating! It was great to see all of my family and get spoiled (like Matt doesn't do that enough)! I was glad to see Matt last night...I missed him and the next 2 trips he will be able to go with me! But my wonderful husband was teaching at the Fire School in Dover this weekend. I am so proud of him! It was a weekend for him to get that experience and spend time at the firehouse with the boys! We are looking forward to our Texas trips in November and December!

New York New York
This past weekend was a great one! My wonderful friend Tiffany came in town on Thursday and I showed her around Delaware that day. We went to lunch at this cute little restaurant in DE where my brother in law is the chef and then we went to the Melting Pot that night (our favorite place) for an awesome meal and great drinks! On Friday and Saturday we were in NYC and had such a great time. We went sight-seeing, shopped till we dropped (literally), ate at some wonderful restaurants, had great drinks and even partied in NYC! We went to a comedy club and dueling piano bar on Friday night where we had such fun....I even got up on stage and sang "Like a Virgin"...Tiffany raised money for tips so I could get up there! It was hilarious! We stayed at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square and had an awesome view! It was such a fun girls weekend! I was so happy to have Tiffany in town so I could share our life on the east coast with her and it was so special to have her here with me! We laughed and cried and it was just like old times. I cherish my friendship with Tiffany so much and am thankful everyday to have her in my life!

New Bedroom
We finally moved all of our stuff back into our new bedroom last week! The room is almost completed...we just have a few final touch-ups to do like touch up the paint on the walls, fix some of the electrical switches and put covers on, touch up the trim, hang our ceiling fan, hang pictures, put shelves in the closets and move our clothes into the closets. It is looking so GOOD! The red walls and dark chocolate brown are so cozy and we are sleeping better already! Our new bedding is so comfy! We love it! I promise I will post pictures soon!

Paint Paint and More Paint
This past weekend was all about painting our bedroom! It started on Friday night when Matt & I put the first deep red coat on our bedroom walls. On Saturday, my sister in law Joanna came over and we put a second coat on the walls. It was looking better but not perfect and we figured that we would probably need 4 coats by the time it was all said and done! On Sunday, we painted all of the trim and interior sides of the doors a Mohagany Brown...very pretty by the way and they look awesome! Also, on Sunday we put a third coat of paint of red on the walls! UGH! It keeps looking better and better! I think that I had more paint on me than the walls did! Matt also put the trim up on the entry way that goes into our dining room. It looks so good! Needless to say we were so very tired by the time the weekend was over but it will be all worth it in the end. Last night, we went shopping and bought all of our new bedding, decorative pillows, sheets, oriental rug, curtains and valence. So exciting! Chocolate brown and deep red are the colors and what we bought is going to look Fab! Of course we couldn't go to bed without putting a 4th coat of paint on our bedroom walls! We think this will be the last and final coat and when I looked at the walls this morning...they looked great! We will be putting the rest of the room together tonight! It's all coming together and I can't wait to enjoy it!

Love is Constantly in the Air
I am constantly amazed by the sweet love of me and my hubby! It's so amazing! We had such a great weekend! It was filled with good food, working on the house and football! What couldn't be better than that! The Aggies and Cowboys won! We got some rain on Saturday from the hurricane and so I cooked as usual but also did a little baking as well! It was so great! Matt made a lot of progress on our bedroom and we are going to be ready to paint starting Tuesday! That's where I come in...I am the painter...scary thought! We are very excited about going and shopping for new bedroom furniture hopefully sometime this week! Married life is better than we ever could have imagined! What's better than being married to your best friend and sharing every possible moment together in this journey of life! God has blessed us so much with wonderful family, friends, a nice house, cars, jobs and most of all each other! Our love just grows everyday and every experience just makes us closer! We are so thankful and blessed! For me personally, I have the greatest husband who is my protector, confidant, friend and lover! I am so thankful to the Lord for bringing such a wonderful man into my life! I couldn't of asked for someone better to spend the rest of my life with!! Love is constantly in the air and we are loving it!

Construction Construction Construction
We are in the process of doing construction on our house! We have remodeled the downstairs bathroom and now are remodeling our bedroom upstairs! Matt has built both of us new closets...mine of course is bigger...because I am the clothes and shoes queen! We are going to do that room in deep red and chocolate brown...very cozy! We bought the paint last weekend...good 'ol home depot was having a sale! We are also going to buy tons of new accessories to make it look awesome! We are sleeping in the guest bedroom upstairs which we call the "man room" because that's the room where Matt's firefighter paraphanelia is displayed! After the room is done, we are going to paint that hallway upstairs and put new carpet in. We are very excited!! I will post pictures soon!
